The Ellis story begins in 1912 with one woman, Ada Ellis. After designing and making her own wedding dress, Ada opened her own atelier in London, where her talent for design quickly earned her a devoted following. She wasn’t just creating dresses - she was creating moments, one wedding gown at a time. From these beginnings, Ellis grew to become one of the very first bridal brands in the world.

Continuing to capture the hearts of brides across the world, Ellis Bridals is now in its fourth generation. Led by Ada’s great-grandson James Ellis, the brand continues to uphold the very values Ada instilled: timeless elegance, quality craftsmanship and modern innovation to ensure that Ellis Bridals remains ahead of the curve and at the forefront of bridal fashion.
Fast forward to today, our gowns are worn by brides around the world, with each dress crafted with the same love and care that Ada gave her first designs: but beyond the fabric and threads, Ellis Bridals is about the feeling of finding your dream dress, one that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.
